Made a deal for my sub

I wasn't allowed to buy anymore home theater equipment until I bought jewelry.

So, I snagged an assembled Dayton Titanic MKIII 15" off Audiogon for $385 shipped!

It just arrived. Somehow I managed to avoid spending Xmas Eve with my gf's relatives as the sub was scheduled to be delivered today.

Anyhoo, I'm semi in the dog house. However, she doesn't know that I did in fact purchase jewelry!

Don't bother telling me not to do it. I've talked myself into it. My single days are numbered! I now have a real subwoofer that will soon go into a real cabinet (the Tempest cabinet) -- given to me by another Austin HT enthusiast.

I just noticed this thread. It's not everyday you get that kind of deal on a sub. Congratulations. There's a pretty good chance that this will not be the last sub you listen to but with a deal like that it will certainly always have a special place in your heart. Treat it with respect by not stuffing anything up it's port and it should go down low for years to come.

Well, girlfriend anyway. All is well. No plans to ship her off any time soon.
