With the current 20% off (which does not show until it goes into the cart), the Integra sets a new bargain on an AVR with Audyssey XT32!
However, there are two concerns:
1) No mention of Sub EQ HT that I can find (I found one place in a forum where someone said it had SubEQ, but could not find mention in published specifications). What this means is this unit will not level and phase match two subs before running XT32. If you are willing to level match by hand and position the subs equi-distant from your LP, that pretty much resolves the concern (though it limits sub placement to symmetry). Of course a single sub also resolves this concern.
2) Overheating? I know Onkyo has had a protracted history of AVR overheating issues. I assume that includes Integra AVR's? Would a pair of these for $22 be a fix:

That leads us to the Denon AVR-X3300 which resolves both concerns for an extra C-note (though overheating is something to be concerned about with any AVR).

Any compelling factors between these two I missed?
Any other candidates?

Note: Personally not in the market. I just thought this would be a good discussion to benefit anyone looking for an inexpensive AVR with XT 32. It wasn't too long ago when it cost well over $1000 to get XT 32, so nice to see this trickle down in action!

I've only recently heard of Integra. You said some things about Onkyo. Is this like their flagship line or something? Like D&M?

Yep, like the Onkyo 818/929, lacks SubEQ with the implementation of XT32. If you don't need the ability to have the avr to set different delay/level for two subs....

ps I'd still be somewhat worried about these older Onkyo/Integra units for the network/hdmi board issues....might want to clarify what the warranty situation is for such.

A4L offers a 5yr third party warranty for $70. No idea of what hoops one might have to jump through to avail of it when needed.

Yeah I'd be more interested if Onkyo still stocks the replacement parts rather than some sort of partial reimbursement from the 3rd party guys if there aren't any parts....
