I have a pair of the Primus 360’s and am very please with their sound. After joining this and a few other audio sites, I became obsessed with finding the best speakers I could afford. After years of research, I ended up spending $2400 on a set of towers. Yeah, they are gorgeous, and maybe sound a little better IMO, but not more than just a little better. I would have been plenty happy with the 360’s.

It never hurts to ask, but don't get your hopes up on T6's under $100!

yeah i called the company that has it posted and the guy said that most the time they have to honor the price offered even if its a typo.

Hes supposed to have a manager or av rep call me back, but maybe ill get super lucky and theyll honor the price shown but i doubt i get that lucky. Although it would make my decision so much easier if they did

normally, when one uses the words "I think", the inference is that of an opinion. i.e. it is of his "opinion" that the the PSB and/or Paradign are better than the Infinity.

Many people think there speakers are better than the ones I like, but it's all cool. People have opinions, and sometimes they don't agree.

I've auditioned the Paradigm Studio 100 towers. I would not buy them for even $300 after the audition. But that was my personal experience. Everyone needs to listen for himself and decide for himself. If the Paradigm or PSB or any other speakers sound great, then buy them.

I just ordered the Infinity Primus P360s today for my family room. When I get them, I will share my honest opinion.

I will be extremely direct and honest in my peronsal evaluation of them - no holds bar.

P360's or P362's? The 360's are the older model that I have. Same drivers either way though.

ill probably end up with the infinitys, i just went to best buy to try and listen to some speakers and all they had were klipsch and bose. I listened to the bose and like everyone else i was not to impressed.

Of course though that was the only speakers they had functioning as all the other brands werent hooked up besides one klipsch bookshelf that i thought sounded better then the bose, A little bright but pretty powerful for a small bookshelf. But since i cant find anything really ill probably buy the infinitys since there cheap and i dont want to take a gamble on 800 dollar speakers and not get what i want.

But off topic i checked out the new 3d tvs and i was against buying a new tv, but they have me tempted to spring for a 55 or 60 inch to hang up on the wall.

Well, 3db has his reasons. He is cool.

Just because I didn't like the Paradigm Studio 100s or the B&W 800Ds when I auditioned them does not mean everyone (3dB, ParadigmDawg, etc.) should feel the same.

Just like how they don't care for DefTechs, but I do.

I'm really excited to listen to the Infinity P362 when I get them.

If I were rich, I would have a bunch of rooms and buy all these speakers just to compare them myself.

I didn't have time to finish this post. work interuption and thenI forgot to get back to it.

The older Image towers I have theT45s) are a very versatile speaker and very linear. If you want dynamics without distortion, then these are it. Its imaging capabiliites for a tower are almost as good as a very good bookshelf speaker. I've heard the Infinities and yes they are a good speaker, a bargain for their asking price. But the Image series in my ears are better. Now I heard the T6s and love the increased bass output, improved on their imaging and kept their linearity. But Im holding out for the Synchrony series.

Dynamics.. The Image series is very linear and dynamic better so than the 362s. I auditioned these speakers without a sub so they ran full range. Didn't test off axes as I was sitting in front of them. I also prefered the mids of the PSBs over the 362. You sound shocked that I prefer the PSBs over the Infinity's.

Not shocked at all...that you didn't mention the room size, the speaker placements, how the levels were matched, what material was used...or any other of the actual questions I asked...


Btw, the PSB's aren't anywhere near as "linear" (measurable..really real world) as the 362's...and the model you linked for the "rave review" was significantly less sensitive (measurable..really real world)...one of the harbingers of ..."dynamics"
