Depending on the distance between you and the speakers, the sound may leave both speakers at the same time but, if the distance between them is great enough, one might reach your ears a bit later than the other.

Sound travels through air much, much slower than through a wire. That's why you see the lightening before you hear the thunder.
No there was never a delay before. What I meant was there be a delay between the two receivers outputting the sound. Since the one receivers would be feeding the other the source. Where in the past I used a y RCA splitter and just split the source to both reciecers

You're doing exactly the same thing now, except from the tape out. No need for a splitter.

DSP is digital signal processing. Using the multi-ch inputs on an avr typically bypasses the dsp of a receiver and makes it into an amp, as you're doing the processing elsewhere (in the Integra in your case).
