Hello everyone. First post here and need some help. I read through a lot of the links that were posted for newbies but I could not find the answer to my question so here I go :D

I am going to be moving my existing surround setup to another room and I have run across a issue. Here is the current setup. 52 Samsung wall mount with 2 in wall Boston DSi460T2, a Boston center channel, and 2 Boston (forgot the model number)( yes I like Boston) mounted to the ceiling angled down toward the couch and a Boston sub woofer.

I will be moving all of this into a much bigger room toward the front of the house. The dimensions of the room are 18 x 16 and (vaulted ceilings) 14-15 feet. The left and right front Boston speakers are in wall mounts and I can mount those no problem. Same goes for the center and sub woofer. The problem that I am having is in the rear left and right speakers.

Since I have vaulted ceilings I don't want to do ceiling mounts because they would be at different heights. What I am thinking is that I can get another set of wall mounts and mount then in the walls about 1-3 feet behind the seating area. Would this work? Or would the 18 feet be too far?

Sorry for the long winded post. Thanks in advance

Brad

That would work. Floor stands might be used instead if you have room for them.
