Click to expand... That is because we use software in our AVPs and AVRs, that takes care of this issue, by setting the distances in the set up. That is why as a rule the distance Audyssey sets is different to the measured distance. All DSP has some delay but these days is likely trivial. However low frequency reproducers, especially ported ones do have inherent delay. This is because of the phase reversal to the port inside the cabinet, which is an integral part of a sub as it is a Helmholtz resonator. The lower the frequencies the longer the wavelength and the longer the delay. However I doubt this would be a significant issue in a disco type setting.
