Hello, quick questions... between those 2 in title, which would you pick?... (both around the same price at Amazon)...

Another one... do you think a KEF q150 is much better/worthy than the q100? The later is half the price... what’s the better deal?

Can’t audition any...

The idea to hook them up to a yamaha receiver, mostly for music and ocassional movie...

Thanks and feel free to throw any other alternative at around $250

Q100 sounds good. Not sure about SVS.

Philharmonic AA if you have space around the speakers (especially behind), KEF Q100 if you have to have them up against a wall. The KEF is front ported, the AA is rear ported.

The new Q150 is noticeably more extended in the high end without ever being bright, and extends bass a little deeper. It's a personal thing to say it's worth more than twice the money. The original price of Q100 was $550 a pair and included the grilles and dual binding posts (which few people really need or use correctly.) The new Q150 puts the Uni-Q driver at the center of the front baffle, moves the port to the rear, deletes the dual binding posts, and makes the grilles magnetic and optional for the same $550 in exchange for better sound quality.
