Might anyone out there have a line on information regarding how the KEF T52 tweeter can be disassembled? I've taken the large screw out of the back of the unit, but it's still firmly bonded together - though I see what may be a seam, and I've given it more than a few twists and turns - to no avail. Figured that I'd get some insight if any exists out there for something this old (1977) before I start applying brute force to the unit... Tnx. Andrew Drouin
KEF T52 Tweeter from KEF Cantata loudspeaker. Might anyone out there have a line on information regarding how the KEF T52 tweeter can be disassembled? I've taken the large screw out of the back of the unit, but it's still firmly bonded together - though I see what may be a seam, and I've given it more than a few twists and turns - to no avail. You are going about this the wrong way. Brute force and ignorance is never a good plan, but it seems your modus operandi. The diaphragm has to be pried out from the front. So you have a new dome/VC assembly? You will also need ferrofluid and loudspeaker glue. .
