Just Purchased Axiom M3v2: Need Opinions Please

I just ordered online a pair of Axiom M3 bookshelf speakers and was wondering what are your opinions on these speakers?

My purpose was to have the Axiom M3 as my front speakers and move my Cerwin-Vega Sat-6 speakers (which are my fronts as of right now) as the rear speakers.

I would appreciate any opinions and suggestions on this issue.

Cheers

I think, in general, the Axioms are held in fairly high regard 'round these parts, particularly in terms of price to performance. I've never personally heard them, but have read a number of good things about them. With that said, at the end of the day, it's ultimately what you think of the speakers. And with their 30-day return policy, you'll be given time to figure out if they work for you or not. Good luck with the new speakers. :D

Axioms are great speakers so it's up to your ears if you like them. I personally find them a bit bright with a reserved midrange, but others would disagree. It's all subjective.

I agree. That's how I felt when I auditioned them.

Be warned, they are way different than your CWs. You may think you are disappointed when you first compare them to the CWs but remember, one speaker is playing detail and accurate music, the other is just making a lot of bassy noise.

Thanks for all the responses so far everyone.

Greg I have to agree with you, the Sat-6 CV are party speakers (bassy and play really really loud) but lack the accuracy that you are talking about but i still love them. However, I think am ready for the change with the Axioms.

I have to say dealing with Axioms audio experts the last couple days, Axiom seems like a top notch company and their Canadian to boot...lol.

Cheers

If Axioms don't work out, you might want to consider the SVS SBS-01 speakers. They aren't as accurate as Axioms, but they play really loud and will probably mix better with CV than Axioms.

I have to agree with some of the others here. The Axioms are very detailed, and I find them a little lacking in bass...but that's easily fixed with a sub :)
