krzywica Audioholic Samurai Feb 2, 2005 2,241 0 113 43 Milwaukee WI Dec 10, 2008 #1 Well I ended up buying the Cambridge Soundworks towers from tcarcio and got them setup in my den today......thought you guys might want to have a peek.....these will probably end up being my L/R's for my basement H/T when I get it completed. But there is no reason to just let them sit and rot all lonely down in the basement by themselves.... So I moved the PSB's to the middle and am using them for dual centers for now. Still getting used to the sound.....never really heard anything quite like them before with rear mid woofer and tweeter mounted in the back as well as the front. My room is bright as is since I haven't picked up rugs for my house yet, so I think it really accentuates the sound. I watched the Pixar short "Burn-E" and it sounded just amazing. These things have some pretty incredible low freq response.

I can say that because mine are the same "wheat" color and I need to paint mine too. Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it too much since the set-up will be down in the HT room before long. If at all possible, just get that one speaker away from the wall. Reactions: krzywica

I actually prefer a more drab color as when I start adding some thingsto the room (rug, paintings, bench...) they are going to be very brightly colored, probably a vibrant but deep red color incorpaorated into the room. And that is taken by a crappy camera that would'nt even do Courtney Love justice..... I will try and see if I can nudge the speaker off the wall a little bit.....thanks for the suggestion

This should help with speaker placement, acoustics, and look more naturally placed. Paint is always a good way to reduce light reflections and improve the viewing experience.
