.....thank you, Ninja....I just am not familiar with modern speakers and receivers and can't comment on many threads here....I do read everything, though.....

.....Ninja, have I fallen into a good deal or what?....I got bumped off that yard hostling job and exercised a bump onto the West End Supplemental Board....two people are on the board, and I'm the oldest seniority-wise....a supplemental board only gets called if the extra-board of that subdivision is fully depleted....

.....the last time I worked was May 8th and 9th catching the local up to Van Buren and back....yeah, right at a month ago....and the supplemental board has a guarantee of 2360 a half....(twice a month)....I just keep struggling on....I'm considering looking for a cooking job locally Monday thru Friday for cash, haha....

.....Ninja, am I worthless or what?....

Right when I mentioned that you were using a different user name to start pissing people off again you miraculously come out of the closet and deny everything. Care to explain?

.....Privateer, you're glad I'm here and you know it, young man.....

.....has attacking always been your engrained mode to gain attention?....it will bring attention for sure, but not necessarily endorsement....there's better ways.....

.....people are looking for a little respect and some acceptance, more than anything.....

.....I got more than I need, so I'm trying to help the Neanderthals within these portals....

.....Privateer, raise your hand, son......

I hardly need the attention with your outrageous sentence structure and product reviews/plugs.

it will bring attention for sure, but not necessarily endorsement....there's better ways.....
That is true but unlike you I am not trying to endorse or sell whatever crappy product that you manage to be invested with at the time.

.....yes, Folks, it's the Privateer Show.....

.....boy, you crazy....you really think these private concerns I have mentioned have gone public for investment by procuring a corporate shell?.....

Amadeo posted a similar thread on another message board and there were no problems. The guy is simply in a state of joy and happiness over his beautiful speakers. As he should be. He's just sharing his joy with the rest of us, which I understand and appreciate. Good for him!!!

I for one, have never known or met anyone who owns these speakers, so I like to hear about his experiences with these babies.

Congratulations to him (Amadeo) on such a sweet purchase.

Privateer, have you heard these JBL speakers? How do you know they're outclassed by other products in their price range? Have you done a comparison?

I would say very few if any of us have heard these speakers. They tend to be very hard to find.

Amadeo has every right to be excited about his purchase. I saw is post at another forum as well with no problems.

All the upper end more exotic JBL stuff that I have heard in tha past sounds great if not excellent and will hold its own with ANY of the upper end stuff from the major manufactures.

JBL is just a very misguided company right now especially with the consumer lines. The new line I saw coming out looks even worse than the Northridge line. When will they learn.

I have but I think they were a pair of Ti10K, the dealer still has them sitting in the corner collecting dust because they are unable to sell them. Like I said JBL is not that bad for all out volume or bang for the buck on some of there products but when it comes to a quality speakers with articulation they lose out.

i went up to them even when they stood near the bigger revel ultima salon , the TIK stood its ground and then some
I hope you are talking about looks, otherwise we might have to commit you.

yes i have posted my speakers on other forums , and i dont want people to say oh you have the most beutiful speakers ...because botom line that is just ones opinion....what i do hope to find is a person who owns a pair to have some kind of legitement review on what that fellow feels of his speakers ...youl know what i have in mind when you visit some club you are a member of ..get it when all have the same thing in common like B&W club or ROTEL CLUB or any other ....or at least some one who has heard them ....and yes these speakers held their ground near the revel beauty and sound wise .....you have to see to believe ....note that they both JBL and REVEL are of the SAME company HARMON international.....and MY TIKs actualy have the exact same 4" titanium mid driver used in the revel
attached is the mids on my TIKs ....please compare with REVELS mids above pic

This thread peaked my curiosity as to where you could find the TIK series if you were so desposed. I went to JBL's website and did a zip code dealer search by series. I live in the Baltimore/Washington area. The closed dealer that has the TIK series is in Mesa, AZ. Just a bit down the road.

You mean you don't have a private jet waiting to zip you there for a listen :D

You're running $5,000 speakers on a receiver, Rotel amp, and Monster cables? And you're wondering what you might upgrade?? Really???

You probably won't have anyone here telling you there's life beyond basic, consumer-grade electronics, but there is. If you have phenomenal speakers, you could easily hear it too.

Well your rotel is not that bad but your pathetic receiver has to go. I use to run your rotel and it is not a bad unit for the money.
