its long overdue

this speaker has not gotten the respect they deserve.......not many lovers of jbl
even if they do make 75% of cinema speakers in the world...i cant imagine anything else in my entertainment room.......for long as i can remember i have loved JBL their sound alwayse keeps you comming for more ..even if they dont have a large variety of speakers they do have one or two that stand out of the rest and any way most speaker companies follow the same road with allot of bs speakers and one or two that stand out that scream out with an orgasm uncompared by any " come in ...hear ..listen...youl love me " and i heard jbls cry since i could afford my own pair. i brought my first pair since i was 19 years. 10 years pass and i still am a dedicated jbl lover yes lover not a day passes that i dont kiss my JBL's (they adore the effection )...

i now own a pair of JBL TI6K speakers ..........got them for about 5000$ they are not cheap ...and were i live (kuwait) i am lucky to have found them ...destiny , fate brought me to them .....i could not believe their beauty when i first saw them in the dealers room (i am positive ..i gave out a short shriek)
i went up to them even when they stood near the bigger revel ultima salon , the TIK stood its ground and then some ...people when you see it in real life youl know what i meen....espesialy the black finish ....a statement speaker ...i ran too it felt its soft smooth finish ...took off the grill and just sat there stairing at it ....if it wasnt for the dealer cutting my day dream with " they are realy somthing else arent they" i broke away gave him a cold stare and asked him how much he looked at me and started well you know these are my final pair and you must be quick with your decision...blah blah blah the usual dealer bs....so i said again not letting him have the satisfaction of the sell...how much for a new pair he said 5000$ because he had to order them and they would arrive after a month so i said ok ...ill give you half now and half on delivery he was swooming ..he told me this is a record for him the fastest customer to ever purchase any gear from him ...he said are you sure you wouldnt want to audition them ..i told him no ...i'd rather do that in my own room with them in my arms ....so i paid him KNET and ....i wispered to them i love you and gave them a small patt and left.

after a month he called me...... left work early that day .... saw the boxes of course and payed the man put down the rear chairs in my jeep took them home ripped open the boxes ...sat down in front of them just taking in the entire brand new smell ....hooked them up with

http://www.monstercable.com/UK/productPage.asp?pin=1629

they were costy too..but speaker cables are just as important as the speakers to me

put my yamaha / rotel rmb 200 watt 1095 on fm tuner and left the room did not come back until the next day (break in period)

the sound was ofcourse more than i hoped for ..it was a special treat deserved all 5000 and i put my favorite cd collection ...and i found the meaning of life ...detail is most important to me when listening too speakers and found alot of it in my ti6k ...to describe the sound i would have to tell you to put a strawbery in your mouth close you eyes taste the strawbery (the taste is what the speakers sound like ..i am not kidding strawbaries

any way in october i will either get another pair of ti6k for rears i ...or i would go for the larger ti10k ....i dont know yet ...the dealer said that i should get the ti2k bookshelf he said that those were desighned as rears ...but i would never get those puny things in my room ....
then id get the 600 watt tik sub that i auditioned (and i felt every wave with LOTR demo)
and the tik center

and i would be in jbl heaven

go listen to them if ever you are looking for a new speaker ......

the resolution is below 1 mega sorry mobile pic

I agree with you that speaker wire is not as important as the speaker itself, however, he was giving us his opinion. It belongs to him. Why don't you make a case for why you believe that cheaper speaker wire is just as good as the expensive stuff. Something educational to may change is opinion. Just a thought.

You're joking right? This site is dedicated to the debunking of cable myths and someone came to the forum posting this and we are supposed to educate them? That's like posting on a vegan site that you love veal. It's what we call in the business a TROLL.

Sure he was giving an opinion and belongs to him; I surely don't want it ;) . Does that mean no one can comment on an opinion? Does it mean all opinions are of equal value?

The case has been made for no name cables, price is no indicator of anything, over that past 25 years or more. Number of references on the web have been provided. RipVan here has a very good home page: I have a few I can poste on request, or google Doug Self for a reality check in audio.

Very nice speakers. How is that center speaker doing so low on the floor and so much height difference with the fronts?

it is irrelevant what you think of my speakers , i know my speakers are nice i wouldnt have brought them if i didnt (and this only goes to you )

the rest are more than welcome to criticize the speaker in any way they see fit ...

and yes as you can see i am in an upgrading phase so yes my center speaker isnt a center speaker at all its a jbl shelf speaker ...that i am using as a center until october of this month and then i would have completed the whole 9 yards

JBL High End Speakers

I think most of us recognize that JBL's higher lines of speakers are some of the best speakers made. If someone gets the feeling that JBL isn't respected, it's because of their marketing of the Northridge line. This is the speaker line the most people come in contact with these days and frankly do not stand up to the competition. It seems that JBL has abandoned a large portion of the market place and conceded it to our Canadian friends to the north. Those JBL TIK series speakers are really fine, but that's some price point. I'm don't even know a dealer that carries the better JBL lines in my area and I live in one of the most populated areas in the country.

I've seen and heard nice infinity speakers, but never JBL's as nice as those. I've read glowing reviews of them, and they are mighty attractive speakers. I'm with you and Bird though, the entry level JBL's are very lackluster. How can a company justify putting out such great speakers in tiny numbers and such crap in bulk? Anyone who buys Northridge series JBL speakers will never be a repeat JBL customer IMO, and in my experience. Like Bird, I don't know of any local shops that sell those Fine Jbl's, it's a pity.

TIK Dealers

This thread peaked my curiosity as to where you could find the TIK series if you were so desposed. I went to JBL's website and did a zip code dealer search by series. I live in the Baltimore/Washington area. The closed dealer that has the TIK series is in Mesa, AZ. Just a bit down the road.

JBL is ok in the lower end based "bang for a buck" category but once you hit that $5000+ mark they are simply out classed and out performed by allot of other products.

If you want to go spend a couple grand on speakers cables go ahead and waste your money but you might want to do a little research first.

I am glad you are in love with your speakers. That's all that matters.

But, if you are going to go on a public forum and praise them, you better be ready for people asking questions or making comments about your original post. Especially when you make comments about "hot" topics.

So what are you wanting?????  Do you have a point other than your speakers are great? If you don't that's fine but people may, gasp, disagree with you.

Do you just want us to say you have the greatest speakers ever and we all envy you? That's not going to happen. Your gold can be other's crap.

BTW, you reading about a 9 out of 10 on the troll meter right now.

Hey everyone Mulester7 is back but under the assumed identity of amadeo! Did anyone happen do get Mulester7's IP address and if so you might want to take down amadeo's IP address and see if they are the same.
