I'd love to see people take a blind A/B audio test using a normal DTS signal vs the new version and see if anyone can hear the difference. It's not that big of a deal that it can't do that. They are trying to make the PS3 a very versitile system and good as a player as well and have done a great job of that, but expecting it to do the best of the best of the audio world might be asking a bit much don't you think? It would be nice, but look what you get for the money? 80 Gig hard drive, upconverting blue ray player that also plays games and has access to internet and.....the list just goes on and on. It's a gaming system. If you want a machine that is the best of the audio and video world, spend a little more for a stand alone player. You are bashing a $500 wonder box that is truely amazing IMO and I'd have one in a heart beat if this format war was over and I could rent Blu-Ray at my local rental place. I just don't buy many movies since I watch them once.
