Holy smokes man! I thought that I was a bass head. But, you take it to a entire new level....LOL!!!! That has got to be awesome when you get it all done and set-up. I could stack the S1500's and end up with (6) of them. But, I think (3) is going to be plenty. Will know soon enough. Wished you lived closer, because i would love to hear it when you get er done! ;);););)

Cheers,

Phil
You still might be able to hear it from there :p

You think I'm crazy, you should see some of the guys on AVS. We're talking about 16+ 18" drivers in one room. Personally I wish I could someday afford a rotary sub. That's the dream.

Yeah, there is a guy over on AVS that lives like 10-miles from me. He has like (4) 18" subs in a small-medium size room. Has invited me to come and give them a listen. Might just do that. He claims it really slams. But, I don't remember exactly what DIY project he did. Might be worth my time to take a closer look.

Phil

If you remember I'd be interested to know what 18"s he's running and in what alignment.

Okay, I will try to get back in touch with him. He really is into the DIY. That is why he contacted me in the first place. Will try to find out what all he has in the next few days. Have a busy one today.

Phil

Thanks for the kind words. So far so good. But, going to tweek things a bit more just soon as I can. There is no time like the present right? Always wanted a JL, but just too expensive for my blood. Will have a 3rd S1500 within the next 6-months. Maybe even sooner....LOL!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

No, I actually reside in an apartment. On the 2nd floor partially above the apartment managers apartment. :D:D:D:D She has been pretty cool allowing me to rock out some. Why else buy gear if I can't rock out every now and then right? Should have a 3rd S1500 within 6-months!!!! Maybe, even sooner. ;);););)

I do NOT play my set-up very early of the morning or late at night. The manager asked me not to play it after 9:00-10:00 PM. So far so good. Won't be too long and will have to get some more candy....LOL!!!! Thanks for the kind words.

Cheers,

Phil

You're lucky I hate it in my apt. After the storm I moved upstairs and it's been downhill from there. When I was on the 1st floor I used to rock out and never one complaint, maybe once. Damn that Sandy. :( Enjoy it while you can, Phil. I need a house. Lemme see if I win the lotto. Hah.

Yeah, I guess that I am a bit lucky. Seen some pics of the damage that storm did. Really sorry that happened to you. Hope it never happens again. I have renters insurance and all of my gear is fully covered. But, like you I really need a house. The things is though, my house would have to be built around the(my) design of my HT. Mine would be geared much more for music applications....LOL!!! :D:D:D:D

Hahaha at all your chocolates. Do you have "other" bowls as well?

Folks, have had some more fun today. Got my set-up dialed in for the most part. The Ultras are awesome! My dual S1500's are flat out amazing! Audyssey set the Ultras to large with a crossover of 40 Hz. Thus, the S1500's were set at 120 Hz. So, first thing that I did was go back in set the Ultras to small with and 80 Hz crossover. Then, I set the subs to 90 Hz.

Adjusted the levels from my Denon somewhat on the subs. They both were leveled matched before running Audyssey. I got them both as close to 75 db as I could but, nothing is perfect. The sound is just amazing! Here are a few more pics:
