Is there such a thing?

I would like to use my existing headphones and make them wireless. Is there an adapter that I can plug into and also plug into my receiver to lose the wire streaming along my carpet leading up to my receiver? If so what is this device called? Thanks in advance.

Not that I've ever heard of. And if there were, you would have to have some level of expertise in electronics.

But they do make wireless headphones, cheap ones as low as $20.

This is if you want to make it yourself. If you search you can find what you're looking for. I agree with John, it's easier just to buy wireless, I've seen them for about $25.00 online.
