Is the SVS the greatest subwoofer on Earth?

$3600 is probably close to the price of a seaton submersive hp master/slave combo :)
Well now I am going to have to work a little more overtime to afford two submersives. So it's still a toss up between two pb13 ultras and two submersives. Can anyone explain the difference / benefits of the subversive hp and the subversive F2?

The Premiere Acoustics PA-150 is a higher performer in some respects. If you are into stuff that doesn't dip below 50 Hz too much, like older music recordings and many music genres, it has far more headroom at 50 Hz and above. Hell, at 60 Hz and above it beats the PB13 Ultra. If you have a large room and don't need extension, the PA-150 would be a much better choice, and it can be had for less than $500 if you make an offer.
If you're into stuff that doesn't dip below 50Hz, remind me why you NEED a sub?

It's hard to do better than two PB13 Ultras, but 3 of them would be better. If you are going above that Funky Sounds, Danley or JTR is the way to go.

The slave submersive is half the price of the master unit.

Anyway, the submersive HP is a dual opposed box and the F2 is a taller box with both drivers facing forward (product costs more, but shipping is less). Shouldn't be any audible differences. One shape might be more convenient/placement friendly/attractive or whatever.

I don't post to this forum nearly as much as I should but thought I would share my opinion on SVS subs. Back in October I decided to do a few upgrades to my theater room, with the better half's permission. I have a dedicated room for home theater and I have been using a complete Jamo C80 system for mains, center, surround, and sub. Since owning this setup I never really thought that I was getting everything from the speakers that they were capable of producing. Don't get me wrong, the C80 Jamo speakers sounded great with the AVR for power but I have since learned that with a decent amplifier they sound fantastic. So, I purchased an Emotiva XPA-2 and XPA-3 to power my mains, center, and surrounds as well as a Marantz AV7701 preamplifier to drive it. Needless to say I found the Jamo C80 sub pretty much unable to keep up with the increased power of my system so I started shopping subs. I ended up purchasing the SVS PC13 Ultra. I liked the idea of a small foot print since I wanted to locate the sub in the front right corner of my room and the PB13 Ultra would have taken up too much space for my liking. I admit I was hesitant to try the tube sub because I have always had box type subs in my systems, but that is all in the past. Three months later and I am still amazed by just how powerful this sub really is! Now just that, but the fact that the beast will produce low frequencies that are tight and controlled no matter how hard I push it! Combine that with their customer service and warranty policy, it is pretty much a no brainer. In my opinion this has been one of the best purchases that I have ever made!

Being the new owner of a pair of PB 13 ultra, all I can say is holy s!!t, do they have power for days. I replaces a pair of JL 15 in a 7th order box and a pair of Hartly 24 that were DIY, no contest. I was using equal power on the previous as well. All I can say is WOW.

One of the better decisions I have made in the last twenty years of home theater.

I have decided to go with two pb13 ultras. Saves some money over two submersives and I have always been a fan of ported/vented subwoofers.

Now time for the overtime which is what I'm doing right now! Maybe I can get SVS to toss in those isolation feet for half price since the subs will be on my wood floor
