Is my local audio guy being honest?

When you say "Are we being trolled?" you are definitely insinuating that the OP is a troll. Which if you read the entire thread you would realize that the OP is simply trying not to get scammed.

Your response to his concerns has douchebagery written all over it. He's a troll for giving someone a few chances? Give me a break. Then asking why this thread is still ongoing is just another way of trying to make him seem illegitimate.

Jerry I've read a lot of your posts, and I agree with most of them, but the one I quoted just got under my skin.

N.B. I welcome all of the red chicklets people want to dish out but have the cowardice to not sign.

Are we being trolled?

OP: Guy said this: is he lying?
US: Yes, run away.
OP: OK, same guy now saying this too. Is he lying
US: Yes, run away.
OP: So now I'm discussing this other thing with the same guy and he says this: is he lying?

Seriously? How is this thread still ongoing?
Are you mad?:D

How are you even asking that question?

It's pretty obvious that this man is asking for help and you want to belittle his position. Pretty douchebag move in my opinion. This is the kind of thread this forum is all about, helping people who need help.

He obviously has a ton of questions and isn't that knowledgable in the A/V world. If you think he's trolling then you obviously haven't dealt with someone who is a rookie in a particular subject.

I find your response pretty unwelcoming.
Where were you fellas when I got hosed by Best Buy?:D(60 dollar 4ft hdmi cable,18 dollar monster screen cleaner, monster power strip:()
When I found about about monoprice I thought their prices were all typos!
Bought an 8ft hdmi for 3.97 and felt guilty because thats all I bought:eek:
I've learned a lot on this forum and appreciate all the info put forth.
There are some extremely knowledgeable people on this forum.
I wish I had more time to become as proficient in this hobby as a lot of you are.

What is your projector?? I would be extremely disappointed not to feed my own PJ a 24p signal.
I have a Mitsubishi HC3800. It's a low cost single-chip 1080p DLP projector which tends to be rather sensitive to framerate changes, although apparently the tendency to shutdown varies from unit to unit. Personally, I'm not at all sensitive to judder, so a constant framerate is a reasonable compromise for me.
