You should always buy the cheaper cable and overclock! How do you do that? Well start out by making sure you keep your receiver at a higherlevel from the ground than the speakers. This will cause a higher potential difference between the speakers and the receiver as the signal will now flow down-hill. This in essence, allows you to over-clock your cables, which in turn implies that you must have the proper cooling for your cables. Be sure to strip all insulation from the cable just before it goes into the speaker and attach a heatsink-fan (HSF) using only the best thermal paste. This will be where the biggest heat build up will occur as all the current will race down-hill and enter a bottle neck before going into the speaker.
Of course fans lead to added noise in the system, so you should probably look at water-cooling
