Integrated Sound System Take 1

I moved into a small condo and am interested in setting up an integrated speaker system across 3 rooms.

Currently, I don't have much (old 2pc speaker set + old receiver) so I've budgeted $1k (for now) for any necessary upgrades. Any help regarding what I need/what costs I will be looking at would be much appreciated.

What do you mean by integrated? Wall mounted, in wall, or in ceiling? I'd like to help!

Do you mean integrated as in 'sound all over the place'.

Probably all coming from the same source. Right? This is the type of thing you would want at a party.

If this is true you probably would want somthing that will eventully work in a home theater when you move out of the appartment. I would say that you could get 7 identical bookshelf speakers that are in your price range and then you will have a great 7.1 system when you settle into a house.

Would you like to be able to control these three rooms independently of each other? That is, you could control volume and source in each room.
