I've been in my new house for about 8 months now. I just bought a Denon AVR-3806 and would like to install speaker faceplates for my rear speakers then run it through the crawl space and back up to the receiver. anyone know of a good tutorial site to do this and how hard is it to do? Or is this the type of project that is better left to pre-drywalling....

Not sure what you mean by faceplate?

I've done this. First use f rated wire (fire rated) from hardware store. Use an electrical box as a template and trace a pencil line exactly where you want the hole. Make sure your hole is between the studs (use a stud finder) and below the stud braces. With a sharp drywall knife carefully cut out the hole, take your time. From the crawl space find the exact centre of the wall above and drill up from below. Fish the wire up from below and have someone above grab it.
