The 9c and c60 are certainly etter speakers than the 8c and c40. I will admit that the 8c still does a darn sweet job of keeping up with the 2B's though.

I think the Image series is timber matched across their whole series meaning you can mix and match their 5.5 and 6.5 speakers. I have the older Image8C and I'm more happy with its performance. It doesn't start compressing until volumes levels begin to reach obsecene levels of loudness. And then, I'm not sure if my receiver is the one being the culprit. If your going to set the center channel as a "small" speaker on your receiver, it makes no sense to buy the bigger center channel. If however, you plan on running it as a large speaker, than by all means, get the bigger one.

My local audio dealer didn't have the T45s, but had the T55s on sale for the same price as the T45s. The mix of 6.5 drivers in the towers and the 5.5 in the center channel is not an issue here. I listen to a good bit of multi-channel audio and am very pleased with what I'm hearing. Just posting this in case you don't want to spend the extra cash/don't have room for the larger center channel.
