I've gone back and read the saga here (after finding out he was banned) and am a bit incredulous over the whole thing. That said, I have no dog in this fight, but if you can communicate with him there at PE, publicly or via PM, I would be wary of risking cutting off a communication line to him by either scaring him off or having them ban him there as well. I do understand why you thought it prudent to warn others there though. Sticky situation and I hope it resolves itself over time.

It's a very sticky situation especially because he has been helpful and is chock full of useful information. He's a likeable fellow. However, if he spends his life posting away, that leaves precious little time to address his obligations. Not that I'm a psychic, but I don't see how this will not wind up in the legal system with adverse consequences for him that will follow him around for years to come. In the mean time, folks need a heads up when it comes to any sort of personal dealings involving money. Chris needs to do what he can in short order to rectify matters. As it stand now, he's a pleasant enough fellow but he's also a bum.

What's messed up about this is the effect it must be having on Jamie. After all the speaker lust that he's been through, watching this happen is tearing him up ... on the inside, man. Watching Matt's speakers go to his nemesis wrecked him ... rectum? ... effin near killed him.

I was not defending Wmax. My participation here was merely to point out the unusual fact that, from what I read here, neither Wmax nor OP had thought of exchanging their address' and phone numbers.

Relying solely on this site's PM facility seems just so incredulous. But, it does make a good excuse.

I have followed the PE forum to see if he began posting again as he does seem to want to "get his message" out. I would suggest the quick response was due more to him not wanting to get banned from another website than not receiving any notice of unfinished work. He knows what is expected, he just doesn't do it sometime/most of the time/all of the time.

I just hate how this has worked out for you, but that's life unfortunately. I think if I ever do custom work in this industry I will have the end user pay for the parts and then the labor when it's complete. That way if something comes up I'd at least be able to return the parts. This is something I've learned from this process.

I have been watching this from the sidelines. I feel this is something that should be on the radar for everyone.

Also, I have personally met randyb, and have communicated with him numerous times over the last 5 years so. I have found him to be one of the most unbiased people I have come across on these audio forums.

That said, and perhaps I have missed it, from all of these forums, is there any semblance of what people have ordered from WMax and what has been delivered?
