I can't imaging what you're going through, but as was said above, your father and brother would want you to keep your focus on your school work as well as being there for your mother. Doing both will be hard, but neither can be ignored. We all honor your brother as well as your family for what you all have given up. Do know that we all care and lift you up in our thoughts and prayers.

Today we went to Dover AFB to watch the Dignified Transfer. It was quite an emotional ceremony. For those unaware of what it is, its pretty much the welcome back ceremony onto US soil.

I'd like to say sorry for your loss and thank you for your family's service and sacrifice.

I found the Kevin Bacon movie Taking Chance to be educational and eye opening as to the care and dignity given our fallen hero's.

Very sorry to hear the news. I will also be praying for you and your family. There is nothing I can say to make you feel better. Be Proud of your brother and be strong for your Mom!

I would only suggest looking into a support group that might be available? The Military is a strong family!

Well, today marks the one year anniversary of my brothers death. I spent it at Fort Detrick where a memorial service was held for my brother, Sgt David Smith, and HM2 Xin Qi.
