Kind of thinking of checking this out, haven't heard much talk here about it. So what do you think, good one?

Looks pretty interesting. I will probably check it out in IMAX since they will also be showing an extended trailer from The Dark Knight before it also (basically the opening scene from what I understand). Chris Nolan actually shot the scene on IMAX, a first for a Hollywood production.

Even though it's not in theaters yet...... it's already on my DVD "must buy" list.


I avoid visiting public theaters......so like everything else, I'll wait for the DVD release so I can watch it at home. I have very high expectations for this movie!!

Omega man was actually an adaptation of the original book written by Richard Matheson in 1954 called "I am Legend". Omega Man took different liberties with the story but kept the same general theme (so I'm told). The Will Smith version is actually the 3rd motion picture made off of the same story- so much for Hollywood originality!

"Omega man" was the remake of Vincent Price's "Last Man On Earth"(1964)....that was based on the 1954 book.

And based on Hollywood's current standards we're due for a new remake in 2015 when Will Smith's son is old enough to play the part of the protagonist

Omega Man is an adaption, but it's a very loose one. It does not follow the book much. It is a great film though. One of my faves as a kid.

Seen the trailer to this when I was at the cinema at the weekend. Thought it looked pretty good although couldn't fathom what had been the cause of the wipe-out. Got back home and Googled it and found out that it's supposedly to do with a lethal virus or some such that's got out.

Still think it's interesting but less so now. I'd imagined maybe it'd been to do with little green men or monsters from an evil galactic empire. Bummer.

I, Robot was scheduled to be released on BD already; now delayed until next year.

Will Smith annoys the hell out of me. Sory, but he'll always be that annoying kid from Fresh Prince of Bel Air to me. I might go see it. I'll definitely rent it though.
