Hi . I have an issue with my theater system . Everything is sony , a ht-c8oodp+ sony 32 in flat screen . When I play the T,V. play the Xbox on it the sound is great no problems . When I play a dvd , brand new one the sounds start coming on . If you turn it up and place the bass higher then the noise gets worse. Everything is hooked on to a power bar maybe its the cable does it matter which ones you use . Friend told me that you should the green blue yellow connections not red white yellow types , I hope that helps . If some could pass on their expertice it would be nice . Thanks

Giggles, welcome to the forum.

Has this always been going on or did it just start? It could be as simple as a bad cable or connection, or it could be more complex like interference coming through the power outlet.

Here are a couple of good links on this website that should help you decide.

DVD connections.

The "Green, Blue, Yellow" cable is for component video. This will improve the VIDEO connection from the DVD to the TV (or DVD to receiver). This cable repaces your existing composite video yellow cable. To upgrade the audio signal and obtain surround sound, you will need a Digital coax or optical cable from the DVD player to the receiver.
