Someone get me an e-mail address for this store. We should e-mail these bastards and put some pressure on them.
My brother would be able to get them return except i told him that i chucked the boxed and then he said im screwed, they have to be in original condition with box and all - cause he knows the manager thereBuckeyefan 1 said:Placebo,
Do you want to return these speakers? If so, did you talk to the manager about returning them? You need to act now or you will be stuck with them. Do you have a family member, older brother, father, or someone who can help you out? I don't think you will be able to successfully represent yourself without someone a little older to help you. What finance company did you use? I would call them and ask for the manager and let them know you were sold goods that were misrepresented, because they are the ones that own the speakers now, not world ripoff. Some of those finance companies are huge, and will help you more than you can imagine. Get on the phone with the local finance company office manager right now.

Man i shouldve just stood tall and said no! - damn world sound and vision
The finance company is HSBC - so i guess i can give that a tryMacManNM said:I think you should at least try, that is a lot of money. Also do what Buck said about calling the finance company, they will tend to help you.
Just be polite, explain to them that you feel that the product was misrepresented, and you'd like to return it. Be firm though, don't let them push you around.Placebo005 said:The finance company is HSBC - so i guess i can give that a try
They are a big company. If you tell them world ripoff used high pressure sales tactics and sold you something you didnt want and it was misrepresented, and now wont return them, they will most definitely put the pressure on world ripoff to take them back. The are world ripoffs pocketbook. Get your brother who knows the manager to take one for the team and rip off someone else and save them $$$$ like they saved you $$$$.Placebo005 said:The finance company is HSBC - so i guess i can give that a try
So even if the boxes are in the scrap they can still force them to take it back?Buckeyefan 1 said:They are a big company. They were bulky and took up too much space to keep aroundBuckeyefan 1 said:Absolutely because you were conned and couldn't test the equipment until you got it home. By the way, why did you chuck the boxes?
Dude, when I was 21, the first thing I did was chuck boxes. Now, I keep them around for at least the first 30 days just in case (much to my wife's chagrin).By the way, why did you chuck the boxes?

Always keep your boxes through the end of the warranty period, and tape the receipt to the boxes. You'll never lose it that way. I even scan my receipts into my computer just in case. I'll break down larger boxes so they lay flat and out of the way. When I bought my 36" Toshiba, it wouldn't fit in the car, so I made Sears remove the tv from the box and load it into my car. That way, "they" took the box.
You know, my biggest beef with this entire situation is the fact they sold you such a inadequate receiver to run their so called flagship speakers. The ad the other guy posted showed these speakers hooked up to Harman Kardon equipment. Did this guy play Metallica off a Pioneer, or an HK? I not only would as for my money back, but request they fire the rep who pushed these speakers on you.
This is all heresay, and means nothing unless you actually do something. This website means nothing to anyone unless you pick up the phone and take some action. Don't put your tail between your legs on this one, or it will be the most expensive lesson you'll ever learn, and be reminded of it every month with that billing statement.
