Does anyone know how or if I can eliminate this annoying "HDMI audio not supported" flag on my display via my Blu Ray player (BD-P1200)??????

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Do you have the latest firmware?
I believe a new update was published 12/11/07 but I have not loaded it. I am hesitant to do so since I have had very good luck with its operation up to this point (the old saying, if it aint broke, don't fix it mentality).

Are you sure this will fix the problem? I was hoping there was some setting I was missing that would toggle this message off.

Unfortunately I don't know if it will fix it, but that is generally the first thing one would look at. When does it happen? All the time / every disc?

I could joke with you and say buy a HD DVD player. (You already own one.) However, in seriousness, have you tried running the HDMI cable from your player directly to your receiver to see if the HDMI switch is the problem?

That's worth a shot, as I had some issues initially with my HDMI switch and my A2, but it seems to be fine now.

My Denon 3805 does not support HDMI. That is one of the reasons I bought the switcher. I am running all audio via coax or optical for now. Cost to buy 18 analog cables and another switch for audio is prohibitive or lends itself to buying a new receiver with HDMI support for 3 or more inputs.

I just want to do away with the "not supported" flag. It is VERY annoying until it goes away.

The flag comes up every time I load a new disc or pause and restart. I was hoping someone here had already crossed this hurdle. It is not a make or break deal but it is annoying and not something that I have a problem with on my HDXA2.

Have you called the maker of that player?
