Thanks for the pics Darien! I have always preferred the Shelby rear bumper on the 05-09's, but I like the GT front, so yours is perfect IMO. I like the black on gray stripe you have going on.

Thanks for other pics too, guys.

Now I miss my Mustangs even more. :(

Here's an old thread with pics of my Stangs:
http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59564

I had to sell my 91 5.0 before I moved to California (it wouldn't have passed smog anyway).

I almost ordered a 2012 Boss 302 but it just wasn't a good idea from a financial perspective. Maybe next year...

You dumped a Corvette for a V-6 Mustang??? How much did that hurt?
Weird, Huh?

We got the Mustang a couple of months before we got rid of the Corvette. My wife wanted a convertible and the Mustang was pretty inexpensive, as a used, high mileage for a summer toy.

To save you a long story, cliff notes: Corvette was awesome but not being used; realized I'm not really a "Corvette guy"; gave my Town Car to my son but still needed a 4 door/winter car; traded Corvette for Malibu; I don't miss it.

The proclivity of audioholics members for Mustangs is starting to seem a little odd, I pick this up on Thursday:

I had an 88 5.0 coupe that I sold about 6 years ago, with all the Bolt ons and a 75 shot of nitrous. This should be a bit of an upgrade.

Very nice indeed.

I could afford one if I took a second and third mortgage out.

I've already posted my Mustang in another thread....but didn't mention the list that makes it worth keepin'

-1999 35th anniversary GT (a real one, not just the badge that ALL '99s got) #1624
-Paxton Novi 2000 full system (inc. injectors, pump, management, bypass valves, air-air cooler)
-Comp Xtreme Energy II cams
-Very mild head work and porting
-Full QA1 suspension, front and rear. (Tubular Kmember, A arms, threaded coilovers, etc.
-Eaton 4.10 rear w/moser 31 splines 1 piece axles. (The original pieces met an untimely end at the hands of the new output. As did the FRPP set when dropped onto ET Streets once at the track)
-SPEC stage 3 clutch
-Upgraded/rebuilt T5 trans, which, for obvious reasons became necessary.
-Baer track claw brakes (not quite up to the level of everything else on the car, but became somewhat short on cash at this point)
-Knockoff Ford FR2000 wheels 18" w/ 265 front 315 rear michellin pilot sport

That's about it, somewhat unmanageable as a street car, but that's what it is. Some mods I would not recommend for ease of driving (suspension, clutch, and cams, most notably), but when you wanna get on it, she REALLY gets on it.

Wow. Nice Choice.

I saw a guy with a Black/Red Laguna Seca on the freeway the other day but he was driving like a complete puss. I had to slow down to let him catch up to me so I could give him a "thumbs-up".

The Cobra was from Hawaii, and was most likely here for the Shelby event at the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca after his passing this year (it was the weekend after I took those pics). That one is likely worth quite a bit more than $1million as it was not just signed by Shelby, it had a personal note as well; he knew the person he built this one for. You can't really see it in the pics, but it is written on the console just above the shifter. I was shocked to see it on the street, but I think Shelby would have liked that it was being driven not just sitting in a museum or collection.

There's a real GT40 up the street from my work at a local shop FOR SALE. I'll have to go by and snap a few pics today.
