Hisense TV's

Any experience with this brand ? I'm considering one in the U6 series, model 55U6SF. currently $430 @ BB

They seem generally well liked by many reviewers, get good scores at Rtings... I was always more concerned about claims of OS instability/bugginess.

We bought TCL last year, but it was a pretty close call between that or the same tier Hisense. I was considering the U8 against the TCL QM8K.

My little bit of radar on these brands says people tend to say they work very well for great $. I saw one at Costco the other day that was very low priced compared to my LG C5 in same size, but did make me think, did I really need the better blacks for that much $ difference?

Highly recommend purchasing an extended warranty with a Hisense. Last TV refresh I really wanted a OLED but was too cheap and bought the TOTL Hisense H9G which was getting all the great reviews. I bought a 4 year extended warranty because of allot of negative reviews about reliability. I got to use that warranty at 3-1/2 years when the TV developed a watermelon size brown spot (burnt backlight) in the middle of the screen. I finally ponied up the cash and bought a LG C4 OLED and have been extremely happy.
