And my truck is begging for an oil change, 4K miles now.
And I am about to get laid off, but that gives me more time to spend on my new hobby.
Plus, I just cut my own hair...

I'm trying to buy new headphones, but the prices on amazon keep skyrocketing for no reason. So I try on ebay, and I get outbid at the last second by $2.50. I get the shakes whenever I'm away from my music and my speakers for more than a day or two. If I'm am forced to listen to good music through subpar systems, I get nausea and a headache. I have to excuse myself from those occasions, but I never tell them why! They must never know about my sickness. I'm not an audioholic, but I'm definitely a videoholic.

I had to try to explain to my wife that the 50" plasma in the family room was simply not acceptable at all, and really need to be replaced by the 60" Pioneer plasma or else I would not be able to stay in the home any longer.

Last week, to her dismay I replaced the Samsung 42" plasma with a Sharp 42" LCD. Why? Because the video processing through component video was horrendous on the Samsung and created a nasty effect which was unacceptable.

Last month, the projector had to go in favor of the new 1080p model hanging from the ceiling. Next month I may sell it in favor of a better 1080p model.

Our Blu-ray collection just passed 100, and I really don't remember how to spell DVB, let alone what they look like.

Sure, I spent my whole bonus check on speaker upgrades. So what?
Sure, I have two HT systems, both with projectors. So what?
Sure, I have two additional stereo systems in the house. So what?
Sure, I already have plans to upgrade my projector and move the old one into my daughter's room. So what?
Sure, my daughter is only 1 month old. So what?
Sure, I have plans to upgrade my receiver to separates. So what?
Sure, my car has 200k miles on it. So what? At least I put a good system in it.
Sure, I built my own speakers for the basement, garage, and deck. So what?

Forget that I switched out my sub three times before 'settling' on the Velodyne HGS18.

Forget that I switched front speakers 3 times, before leaving the Paradigms in place... and the center channel 4 times before being happy with a Mythos 8.

I can't be an audioholic - I still have the same rear speakers I've had for 5 years, and I only run 5.1 audio.

And stereo is all I run...

Through my discrete distributed audio system....

In 10 other zones in my home...
