There is cooling, the upper rack has two wood vents on the sides. One has fans to pull air through the cabinet. The other has a filter for dust. You can only see one in the photo because the other still needs to go in.The base cabinet is cooled as well, that is where the pc ended up.

No you cannot see the wires in the cabinet without a camera flash, unless you are looking for them. The back of rack is painted black.

Heres the seating, this took us the most time to figure out. I think it was easier to figure out the gear than what to sit on. This is a "family theater".
