I havent been able to enjoy my home theater for 3 years - long story
Anyways am in a new house and setting everything up finally.
To my dismay when I press the title/gui button with the side selector in AMP on my remote it does not bring up the gui!!

Any tips?? Im googling like mad.

I notice the transmit light doesnt turn on for a portion of the buttons.....maybe remote didnt survive.

I can't find it in the manual, but do you remember if the video connection that you're using between your receiver and TV supports the GUI?

Also, it certainly could be the remote. Do you see the transmit light turn on with you press the button for the GUI? If not, try it a few times. My Pioneer remote has a row of buttons that are a real pain to get working, but if I keep mashing them, eventually they'll register.

I see the default yamaha splash screen currently.

Im pretty sure its the remote at this point, there are 2 seconds on the remote that dont seem to light up the transmit indicator.

Im pretty sure I can configure this using the receiver display, should be super fun.
