Mrty,
Have you ever had an original thought? Can you think for yourself without trying to quote someone else's work? You have to be the most clueless individual I have ever seen.

Original thought? Einstein had some. Some others had some. Everyone else borrows, including you.

I don't think anyone is questioning that fact. It's HOW that power is generated that seems to be at issue, and I don't see why it needs to become such a long, drawn out, semi-redundant discussion about small details that really mean quite little to most people.
I agree, so let's summarize:

Too much power blows speakers (mainly tweeters). The excess power comes from either:
1. An underpowered amp driven to clipping
2. An amp that puts out power far in excess of the speaker's capability.

I know your intentions are good and based in fact, I think it's just the way you go about it that rubs people the wrong way.

Well, my intentions are very good, ;) not sure about them based in facts, so I continue to research so that even I can understand it. I rather not accept things that just don't look right to me, regardless why, until I look deeper into it to satisfy me. And, I try to seek people of known reputation and knowledge ;) I have been know to be wrong, from time to time ;)

My presentation can rub some people the wrong way. That is a bit more of a challenge :D But as has been said, you can please all the people some of the time and and some people never  So, I am at a loss how not to offend those few, especially after the fact :)

Why don't you quit challenging people when they give an opinion? There are people here that believe a McIntosh amp sounds different than a Crown. You always jump all over them. Just respectfully disagree. I think if you would cut that kind of stuff out, a lot more people would listen to you. You always seem to have answers.

NOW, WHO WANTS PIZZA?

I do if you get it from Westgate Pizza in Austintown, Ohio.

Peperoni, Italian sausage, hot banana peppers, and onions.

You might want to get a full sheet!

haha you guys are unreal, I played the things way too loud, with a low end reciever, and blew the hell out of the woofers....they have since been repaired under warranty, and are now downgraded to rears. Stupid college kid, too big a party, end of story. No sense in wasting so much energy on this arugment, it doesnt amount to anything.
