Help upgrading??

Need some recommendations for upgrading. Running Bic DVRsi all the way around in a 5.1 setup but looking to move up. Interested in opinions on taking a step up for bookshelves. Read about the ascends, Onix, Axiom - will most of there bookshelves blow the bic's away?? how would they match up against at speaker like the Polk RTi4's? Probably looking to stay in the 300-500 range per pair if not less

I'd go with the Ascend 340SE's.

ascends did win the battle but at almost $140 over the price of the X-LS most still decided it was the best buy and by far the best cabinet (XLS).

from the lower end to the higher end of your budget your talking much better speakers in most cases.
