help me find online TRS mono and stereo, XLR wall plates for church

cables have been run. now we need to solder.

soldering the xlr should be easier since the plate is numbered 1 2 and 3.
(but to double check, 1 is the shield/ground ; 2 and 3 doesn't matter as long as it's the same on both ends?)

soldering the TRS jack on the other hand, i have no idea which one is the ground/shield/1

Yes, the tip is farthest from the plate, ring is the middle and the sleeve is the base of the jack. If you have a meter, check the tabs for continuity to the tip and ring, or look at the jack from the side so you can see which tab is which.

wow. now i understand the two big ones sticking out, i thought they were simple compression thingies. didn't know they were the actual contacts and they're not of the same height.

when you said farthest from the plate ... i said "huh" i thought you were talking about the solder joints. my brain cells are dying faster than my age ... it's getting harder to translate text to actual application.
