Hi all,

I am hoping to get as much advise as possible, as this is a big dilemma for me lately. You need to know that I am the type of person who has no problem exceeding the budget a little, as long as am buying "Value for money" hardware.

I will start with listing my budget and the price of speakers which I have in mind. The prices in this region differ and is more expensive than in US.

I thought Denon had better investment protection as it can live for many coming years considering its features.

Diamond 9.5 sounded good but not clear and dialogs were not audible, also I am having my doubts, because when I listened to the Diamond 10.7 they sounded boomy and distorted. I do not know if this is from the receiver or the speaker itself or the setup.

Primus sounded great and I noticed the dialogs where extremely clear, but there was no punch. For that price, I think it is a great deal.

Buttom line, I would like to buy a set of speakers where I can enjoy listening to music (mostly rock, alternative, ...) and Movies. Listening at audible/clear/detailed low volumes is important for me as I wouldn't be listening on loud volumes all day long. At the same time loud volumes must maintain its clarity and details.

I dont know if such thing exists even :)

Looking forward for your comments.

I would suggest the Denon 1910 and "current" Infinity Primus speakers, 2 P362 towers, a PC350 center, and a pair of P152 or 142 bookshelf speakers.
One source: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=infinity+primus&N=0&InitialSearch=yes but you will have to pay shipping from B&H

For a subwoofer, consider the Hsu or Elemental Designs units

I would suggest the Onkyo 607 which you can get on the net for around 450.00 and NHT Classic 3 speakers. You can get them for 700.00 for fronts, 300.00 Center and go with the NHT Zero's for the surrounds 300.00. I have this setup for Movies and Music and it's great (I have a Onkyo 805). The Onkyo 607 was rated great for sound but it didn't upscale as well. You should let your DVD or BD player do the upscaling anyway and set the AV to pass-through.
