Sure, if your speaker wire run is 200 feet. Get 12ga. Its the biggest stuff you can run that will generally fit in everything.

Get banana plugs if you're constantly taking your equipment apart, or you're just striaght up baller.

The general theory on this site is that your wiring does not affect your sound. Opposed to the Stereophile community that hears all kind of wonderful things out of their wiring. For the system you're running, the 12 ga clear wire that is marked with a white strip on one side would be great. You can buy a 100 foot spool and be done with it. I like this speaker wire, Canare Quad Star 4s11. I use bare terminations and it is covered in tech flex. I bought these on ebay, I think these two 25' pieces were about a $100. The actual wire is much cheaper and has a grey rubber jacket. I have since started doing some of my own.

So why can't we get some of that excitement around here?

"Audioholics" sounds a lot more "hardcore" than just "Stereophile". I mean they just believe in two channels (i.e. Stereo preamplifiers), right? We believe in all channels.

Hey, you know what? I'm beginning to hear a drastic improvement in sound quality from my high-end, high-dollar monoprice cables. Yeah, that's right. And my tri-amping sounds a lot better than my bi-amping too. I can't seem to articulate the vast sound improvement, but it's there.

My neighbor and I both have the same coffee table except mine measured in at 1.3 trillion molecules and his only 1.2 trillion. I'm glad I paid 4x the price as mine is obviously better. Seriously, the bottom line is, does it really matter to any practical degree? We should leave such miniscule measuring to the physicists. Get some 12AWG and banana plugs or spades from Monoprice and you're good to go.

Is that a THX Mordaunt speaker I see? :)

Did I tell you my experience with the banana plugs from monoprice?
This is what happened. Okay, I installed a bunch of them. Then I plugged them into my amps. Initially, the fit was okay. But after I pulled them out just once, they became totally loose. The thin metal just didn't retain shape or something. Monoprice needs to sell the locking bananas.

Mine seemed to have held up thus far and I've been yanking on them a bit. Locking would be better though of course.

Ok, let me amend my statement. Get some 12 AWG speaker wire from Monoprice or Bluejeans and some banana plugs or spades from Bluejeans and you're good to go :D

Okay, you got a deal!:)

I think the last time I saw of my 40-something monoprice banana plugs was when I had just finished uninstalling them and my 4 & 5 year old daughters were in the room playing with them. Next thing I know, those bananas just dissappeared.:)

What are those yellow sleeves?
3M Heat Shrink Tubing.....the TechFlex is pulled on to the cable, and then the 3M tubing is heat shrunk over the loose ends. It is a pretty hot set up. The red and yellow look should get all you married guys with it's high waf!:D

Yeah. Not many Mordaunt fans on here....the 506 dipole surrounds are all I have left. I sold the 502 Fronts and the 504 Center. Nice speakers. They helped finance a step up the food chain....
The Canton L800DC's are so fine....I don't want to leave the sweet spot...:D

At least you have a lead... How about when they disappear and you have no children

Wait until a cheap banana plug gets stuck in your AVR. I almost ruined my Yamaha getting a Rat Shack banana out.

You bet! In fact I'm thinking I made a mistake audtioning all these speakers. Just a bunch of cardboard boxes. Can't stand up against some good old OF Copper! I say get rid of all that junk you amateurs probably have in your homes. All you need is some high-end audiophile (or stereophile) wires. Shove one end into your CD player and the plug the other end into your ears. Sit back and experience nirvana.

Yes, it looks extremely professional and very cool looking! So how long is the TechFlex?
How do you do the heat shrink? With a hair blow dryer?
