I've listened to the RTiAs in my setup and honestly didn't hear any difference with vinyl.
They are not for me either, but I expect them to do better than the 75T, given the higher price and specs they should, but they do need more "juice"
in general..
I still disagree about the 75Ts since they did sound very good with "lower class" receivers
Again, my comments had nothing to do with "sounding good", or not. It was only about within the audio component chain (from media source to sound) I considered the speakers the "weak link" but only in relative sense. If I meant to say the 75T cannot sound good, I would have said so. Let me try one more example to make this clear, say, if you match the RX-V2070, or even the RX-V3080, with a pair of Revel Salon2, then I would have referred to the receiver as the weak link, that does not mean the RX-V2070 cannot make the Revel Salon2 or any high end speakers that measured well to sound good to a lot of people. Weak link simply means it is the weaker link (component) of the whole chain relative to the other links/components. Disagreements on forums are fine and happen all the time, but in this case you may be disagreeing with something that isn't there to disagree with.
so I believe that the A2070 should also make them sound at least as good as they previously sounded.
Agreed from the beginning, and that's why we suggested you try re-running YPAO, and/or manual EQ (example: make some slight cuts in the 2.5-5 kHz range).
