Help finding appropriate surrounds

To my understanding those are designed more for near field listening, and ironically probably outclass your mains in imaging. They are very nice, but seems like a cart before the horse thing in that you could save money by buying less expensive(don’t read as cheap, since I’m not an advocate of “skimping on surrounds because they don’t do anything”) surround speakers and put the money towards sub/s.

Thanks Will! That is good info. Yeah, these seem like the wrong solution for surrounds. I am trying to find something that competes with SVS Ultra Surrounds, which may be overkill as well really. If there is a good solution for less money, that will get me that much closer to getting a third sub for the room...which I now know is your main motivation =]

ps. my Umik should arrive today so I can actually see how bad my room is. I will post graphs when I can get the data put together.

What about these as surrounds?

RBH SV61
https://rbhsound.com/sv61.php

The RBH line is well reviewed here, and seems to have a solid reputation. I have not heard any of their offerings, but am thinking about using these SV61's ($1200/pair) or the R5e's ($500/pair) for surrounds...with an mind to slowly transition to a full RBH setup.

Am I getting warmer here?

With these on sale at 67% off ($169/pr),I think the Infinity RS152 is a great option:
Infinity RS152

It is a Memorial Day sale, so I don't know how much longer the sale will last (you can call them to find out).
The 5-1/2" driver faces into the wall and is spaced from the wall using the mounting plate:

Having the two forward facing tweeters should make placement less finicky!

Thanks for idea KEW!

I'll look into those. I have been thinking more about getting monopoles for better localization and future use cases (I'm really liking a longer term goal of transitioning into a full RBH setup).

My current plan is tentatively looking like:

AVR: marantz 7013 - $2100
Surround: x2 rbh sv-61 - $1200
IC: x2 rsl c34e - $250
Sub: svs pc-4000 - $1800
Total: 6 pieces - $5350
