hdmi video with coaxial audio question

Hi there,

For those of you pioneer elite sc-05 owners (or those with a similiar setup), I have been running into a problem with my PC connection to my receiver. My PC is connected with video via an HDMI cable and audio via a digital coaxial cable. Despite my input settings on my receiver reflecting this, whenever I play a video through my PC the sound will play for a few seconds then my receiver will automatically attempt to "look" for audio via my HDMI connection and ignore my coaxial connection, resulting in subsequent no sound. I've been unable to figure out how to disable this feature. Any ideas?

Hi. I haven't looked through the manual for the SC-05, yet, but I have an Elite VSX-23. Have you set the receiver up so that it doesn't automatically try to detect the incoming audio signal? I believe that it will default to HDMI if you have it auto detect. If you can, set it to use the digital input.

If you have any issues with that, if you've already tried that, let me know. I'll be happy to look through the manual a little later on this afternoon.
