HDMI on Xbox 360: will i notice a difference?

I am now using a toslink optical 5.d dolby digital, and am upgrading my receiver to go HDMI for all my inputs. Will my 360 sound any different?

Other than simplicity of connection, no benefit to using HDMI on the 360.

Using an HDMI connection will allow you to have the 360 upscale dvds to 1080p, but the audio will be the same since the 360 doesn't support any lossless audio.

You won't really get any benefit in the audio but I found the video looked better over HDMI compared to component.

I just did the same thing; no difference in the audio (still just sending 1s and 0s to your receiver).
