Does it matter what hdmi cables you use is it worth spending 500 for one hdmi cable? And what are the best cables out there.

depending on individual on how far they wana go. *A brand $500 but *B brand $350 performance around the same will jus go for *B brand. some brands major in HDMI some brands *all rounder*

to add on if a consumer is ok with existing normal cables. it will b jus fine. once you hands on with a good pair of cables it will be hard for you to accept lower end cables. this is for sure.

Two posts above from "suphawut" make zero sense. Hdmi cable ether works or it doesn't - aka no image or very severe artifacts. Depending on signal type, length and cable properties.
Now if $5 monoprice cable works, replacing it with "high performance" $5000 cable will do nothing of value.

I myself have 20$ hdmi cables with life time warranty so don't need to worry about my cables. But 10$ hdmi cable will do just as fine, there is no point to pay over 10-20$ for hdmi cable, some would say no point to pay over 10$. This is for short cables tho, long cables will cost more naturally.
