Says the man with a $2,000 blu ray player that he never uses
Maybe there is no advantage to using ripit4me over dvdfab, but I don't know how it does the compression process... Ripit4me rips the disc with dvd decrypter, then cleans up the the vob files, and then opens it up in dvd shrink, which will allow me to decide if I want to let it do a deep analysis of the disc, to increase quality (not sure if dvdfab does this) also I can choose the level of compression for extras, menus, and main movie... maybe dvdfab lets me do this too, I just haven't bothered trying it for regular dvds, since ripit4me has always done a great job. But the more tools I have in my arsenal, the better. I like both programs, and have been using both for years... But I really like the dvd/file to ipod feature of dvdfab, it's the easiest way to get my tv shows and movies on my itouch.
