I would not use pro speakers in a home environment. As panteragstk mentioned, they are designed for large open spaces and can not match the characteristics of properly designed home speakers in the typical sized room. They're just not designed for that purpose. Pro amps also have different specs as far as THD and noise levels go. In a pro setting, you don't have to worry about background noise or hiss. You're more concerned about having large dynamics and high SPL levels. Some of those amps will have audible hiss in a quiet home settings, which can be down right annoying. Don't rely on a single discussion thread and assume that it's the holy grail of audio advice. There is a lot to learn in this hobby and after 30 years I am still learning new things.
