I have some questions about the HK integrated amps ...
there's the HK3480 120wpc x 2 (rated max consumption 280w)
the HK970 70wpc x 2 (rated max consumption 345w) at almost twice the price of the 3480.
given the 970 has better binding posts and I assume better parts overall ...
1) assuming HK does NOT exaggerate their specs, why is the 970 more expensive with a smaller wattage rating?
2) why is the 3480 max wattage consumption so low? could it be some other type of amp (non A or B)?
notes: I peeked inside the 3480 and saw 2 15,000microfarad caps.
