Simple answer: No way not in the least forgetaboutit waste of time axel's a tool. I am sure it sounds good as it is the most expensive record in history but axel is a tool and this will not stand. The dude abides.

I heard a bit of it. Jamie is spot on, it's ****in criminally bad and Axel Rose is a huge tool.

Erlewine says:

"And this solipsism turns Chinese Democracy into something strangely, surprisingly simple: it won't change music, it won't change any lives, it's just 14 more songs about loneliness and persecution. Or as Axl put it in an apology for canceled concerts in 2006, "In the end, it's just an album." And it's a good album, no less and no more."

I think I'll pick it up.

What is the sound quality like? Good? Or the standard -10dBFs average power garbage?

Did they keep the Buckethead guitar riffs or remove them?

I absolutely can't believe anyone would ever work with that guy again. He has a major case of "short guy" syndrome and he obviously was abused as a child.

He pays an extreme amount of money. My good friend was G nR's soundguy for 18 months. In that time they did 6 gigs. He got $8500 a week every week playing or not. Needless to say he bought a property in Costa Rica and installed a studio in paradise. I was up for that position and turned it down because I was already involved in another project. I wish I had taken it now but oh well. Clint people work with him even though he is a total TOOL because he has endless payroll money. My other buddy Brain played drums with them for a few years as well and the stories are pretty funny about Axels paranoia.....

Axel also has a spiritual woman who interviews you and if she is not feeling you then you don't get hired. Too funny that a Megalomaniac has a spiritual adviser.......like I said TOOL

That IS a crazy amount of money. So is that story true about him throwing a stage speaker at a monitor mix engineer cause he couldn't hear himself?
Oh yeah thats true as well as him hitting another Monitor engineer with a mic stand and at the same time destroying the digital $250,000 Midas desk. I have a ton of stories from my friends who have been around him and seen the idiocy that he brings to every situation...

Who cares how crazy he is if his music is good and he doesn't really bother anyone else?

I do and won't support his fleeting career and he has bothered many people including myself. Axel is a tool and NOBODY should support him and his defunct band....Just my opinion of course...

I just don't like the fact this is album is lumped in with the band Guns 'N' Roses because clearly it is not. It undermines the original band members and is disrespectful to their fans to pass this album off as GNR. It is a Axel Rose solo album.

What has Axl done to you?

Personally nothing but he has been a A** to a bunch of my friends. That is a good enough for me. I don't have an issue with people buying the album but as Minus said its not even GnR anymore....

I had to make sure I downloaded the right album... checked it twice. This album is ridiculous. Sounds nothing like the GNR of days past, nothing.
He had a unique pitch, that only has come out for a slight moment on song #10 "Sorry"... It's ALMOST a really good song, not too bad. Nice guitar riff about 3 minutes in.

I hope there is at least one more hopeful, decent song ... 4 more to go.
