T Trebdp83 Audioholic Spartan Oct 25, 2020 #70 I never bought a DVD-AUDIO online. I think I bought one SACD online. Some were bought at Circuit City, remember them? The rest I picked up at Amoeba Music Hollywood and Amoeba Music San Francisco.

S snakeeyes Audioholic Ninja Oct 27, 2020 #73 Cool thread. I only have a few DVD-A discs. The only great one I have is Neil Young Harvest. I did see the recommendation in this thread for Steve Miller Band, Fly like an Eagle DTS 5.1, so ordered a used one. Looking forward to it, even though it’s not actually a DVD-A.

I got mine for ~ $25. Maybe a handful of titles keeps me tied to players w/ MCM capabilities. As far as DTS CDs, I think they were put out in the early 2000s for a couple years. You can play them on DVD or Blu-ray players. They aren’t the same quality as DVD-A. lovinthehd Audioholic Jedi Oct 27, 2020 #76 Yeah I've only got one multich DTS CD, Allman Brothers at Fillmore East....much better than the LP at least . You can rip them fairly easily too, IIRC I just used EAC. Plays back in DTS Surround mode. A site I found with a discography http://www.surrounddiscography.com/dts/dtsdisc.htm

T Trebdp83 Audioholic Spartan Oct 27, 2020 #77 Steely Dan's "Gaucho" DTS CD is a good one. It's pricey now on DVD-AUDIO. I always wanted to get it and compare the two.
