Not really a fan, but it's DVD-a. Hey maybe I'll like it:

Gonna bump this thread. Need to re-buy some of these again, especially that I got my Denon DVD-1940Ci. Hopefully I can get some great deals.

I never bought a DVD-AUDIO online. I think I bought one SACD online. Some were bought at Circuit City, remember them? The rest I picked up at Amoeba Music Hollywood and Amoeba Music San Francisco.

Check out discogs, amazon and ebay for used optical discs of various sorts, maybe Elusive Disc for new discs.

Cool thread.

I only have a few DVD-A discs. The only great one I have is Neil Young Harvest.

I did see the recommendation in this thread for Steve Miller Band, Fly like an Eagle DTS 5.1, so ordered a used one. Looking forward to it, even though it’s not actually a DVD-A. :)

Harvest is over a hundred bucks now. I got mine for ~ $25.

Maybe a handful of titles keeps me tied to players w/ MCM capabilities.

Amazon has a surround mix on CD? How would that even work?

Wow I guess my $25 used copy of Harvest I got last year on Amazon was a great find.

As far as DTS CDs, I think they were put out in the early 2000s for a couple years. You can play them on DVD or Blu-ray players. They aren’t the same quality as DVD-A.

Steely Dan's "Gaucho" DTS CD is a good one. It's pricey now on DVD-AUDIO. I always wanted to get it and compare the two.

Anyone have any other favorites?

As far as dvd-a I recently got Flaming Lips' Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots 5.1....

For multich generally recently got The Doors bluray for the Singles set, like that a lot. The 50th Anniversary bluray 5.1 mix of Jimi Hendrix' Electric Ladyland is excellent....
