Being no stranger to forums, I know better than to post before reading.

However, after reading hundreds of posts and FAQ, I still did not have a clear understanding of what these terms did.

THIS ARTICLE explained it all. Now I understand all the connections.

Thought I would share this with everyone, in case there are others like me lurking about out there!

We're working up a nice article on the different audio and video connections associated with home theater, but thanks for the link. There's a lot to be confued about - especially when you throw all of the copy protection and compatibility issues in with the mix.

yup! me being new to most of this links like that certianly help me to understand better before i make posts about things that have been asked 50 billion times,.

i am sure i will ask something! but i try to read all i can first.

Just imagine: daisy-chaining all your A/V equipment using one lossless standard. I'm assuming that the group behind HDMI is forward-thinking enough to make that happen? I suppose we're still 10 years away from that...

Like a PC connected to an Ethernet connection!
