True, but when AV123 was building them they were largely vaporware and/or a bait-and-switch scam. (Ironically Hugh started building these primarily to help out some people whom he had referred to AV123 for the LS9's and felt personally responsible for their loss - how's that for being a standup guy?) DIY kits are for a completely different market, and these aren't an easy build. Even the people go ended up getting these from AV123 (at a price that barely even covers cost of parts) generally got them with a bunch of veneer problems, various QA issues, and sans the promised cabinet damping.

From the standpoint of a pre-built speaker that you can trust you'll receive and not get ripped off, these ARE new. ;)

Yes, pre-built is the key there. I was referring to the fact that they have been available as a kit for quite some time, well before AV123 became involved with offering a version of them.

I certainly would not imagine these would be an easy build :eek:
